Herb Pennock Park
A neighborhood park built around two softball fields, with a playground, picnic tables, and a quarter-mile stone-dust walking loop that connects to the Kennett Greenway. Less of a destination playground than Anson B. Nixon Park, but a solid, uncrowded local option if you're already in Kennett Square, especially on non-game days.

Know before you go
The park is managed by the Kennett Area Park and Recreation Board and centers on two full softball fields with dugouts and lights — expect more activity on evenings when adult rec leagues are playing. The playground and picnic tables sit alongside the fields, and a quarter-mile compacted-stone walking trail loops the perimeter and connects to the Parrish Trail/Kennett Greenway. Restrooms and accessible parking are on site.
