Penn's Table
Family-owned and it shows — the staff is patient, the prices are low, and nobody's making faces if your kid is loud. Breakfast and lunch all day, classic American diner menu. The French toast is great; the portions are generous enough to share with a small person.

Penn's Table is one of the more genuinely family-friendly options in downtown West Chester — it's been here for years, has the worn-in warmth of a place that's fed a lot of kids, and won't make you feel like you're ruining anyone's morning. Full bar means you can get a Bloody Mary while the kids eat pancakes, which is sometimes the real amenity. Open most of the day so it works for slow weekend mornings without the usual time pressure.
