Wolf's Hollow County Park

A rustic, natural park with nearly 10 miles of moderate-to-challenging trails along the Octoraro Creek — genuinely nice hiking, but no playground and only limited comfort facilities. Best for kids old enough to hike a real distance, not a stop for toddlers or a stroller. Dogs allowed on a 6-foot leash. Bring your own trash bag — the county asks visitors to carry out what they bring in.

Wolf's Hollow is Chester County's most rustic regional park — 569 acres of varied terrain along the upper Octoraro Creek, with trails ranging from moderate loops to more challenging routes through bluffs and mountain laurel glades. The county describes it as having "no public office and limited comfort facilities," so this isn't a playground-and-picnic destination — it's a hiking park. Good for families with kids old enough to walk real distances on uneven ground.
