Something for a curious kid, somewhere to climb, or a few books to bring home: here are three different ways to spend a little time together this weekend, September 18–20. Choose one and leave room for the rest of your day.

For the aviation-curious: Saturday in West Chester

Girls in Aviation Day · September 19, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The American Helicopter Museum's event includes hands-on STEM activities, aircraft displays and a panel with people who work in aviation. If your child likes to ask how things fly, this is one to look into.

For climbing and sand play: East Goshen Township Park

A zip line, climbing equipment, swings and sand play give you a few directions to choose from. There is also a paved walking loop if a walk sounds good after the playground.

Before you go: restrooms are near the pavilions, rather than right beside the playground. Check park notices before leaving.
